I am a new member and am experiencing a little difficulty interpreting the menu items. On day one, the dinner menu included:

“1 cup of Pasta, Brown Rice (Cooked)” – Does this mean I have a choice of Pasta or Rice or am I expected to have a half cup of each item. Or am I meant to have a cup of each for the meal?

My second question is on the Snack list as follows:

“1/2 Muffin/Teacake, English, 100% Wholemeal” – Does this mean I eat a half muffin (as in American cake type muffin) Or do I choose between the 1/2 muffin and the English Teacake?

Sorry if this is relatively simple to understand for everyone else! I don’t want to ruin my first week on the diet due to simple mistakes or misunderstandings on my part. I have just discovered that I should not be adding sweeteners to my black tea – I have up to 6 cups a day with 4 sweeteners in each cup. OOPS – Have I blown it already?
