Hi, margr. The carbohydrate grams refer to those from any source – grains, baked goods, vegetables, fruits, etc..

Ossie; when you say 3 gms of carb do we include veggies other than free in there, as well as fruits, or do we keep those separate. I know starchy veggies are counted as carbs.

Hi, Karen. In this program, our meal patterns are based on 1 gram of protein to 3 grams of carbohydrates to 1 gram of fat.
