Absolutely! Please note that the food exchanges in this program are very similar to the American Diabetes Association exchanges, and that all fruit and carbohydrate units (i.e., 1/2 ready-made cereal or cooked grain, slice of bread, or cup of fruit) yield abou 15-20 grams of carbohydrates.

Can you please tell me if this is the way for a 10 year old type 1 diabetic to eat. I would like to learn to make healthier food for all 11 people that live in this house. Does this way of eating work for both type 1 diabetics, adults, children, and teenagers?
