| | Thanks Ossie, I have stocked up on instant Miso soups by King Soba which come n a variety of flavours like red miso with tofu and ginger or pumpkin and vegetable. These may help me when I’m pressed for time and I will try and make some veg soups to store at home in the freezer. I will also try and get into the habit of carrying a bag of nuts – especially for end of work day when I’m heading for the bus stop – before starting the diet I used to regularly get a bar of choc or bag of crisps – think its just relief at getting out of work and nothing to do with hunger. I don’t go in every day now as semi-retired so habit has been easier to break. Pleased about the avocado as I love them but have been avoiding because I thought they were full of fat. I have got Quinoa but haven’t tried it yet. |
| | Hi, SlimaSharon. Soups seem to be the answer for sick days, because they feel like carbs, but you can throw/hide a lot of nutritional value in them – beans, shiitake mushrooms (immune-supporting), grains, vegetables). |
| | Hi there, I know this is good advice but there are times when I don’t eat as much as I should, then the next day I feel low and in need of naughty things! Sometimes its to do with work and having no breaks, other times, as now, I have a cold coming and no appetite – just when I know I should be eating more fruit and veg, all I want are carbs – any tips? |
| | Don’t eat too little. Even when you want to lose weight, it’s important to eat. Starving yourself causes the body to go into a state of emergency and slows down your metabolism. |
