Regular skim milk is fine – do read the ingredients list to make sure there are no “milk solids,” as these are unprocessed and generally quite unhealthy. Regular butter is fine in moderation.
You can substitute the foods with others in the same group in the Menu Planner – just be aware of portion sizes.

This isn’t the way I eat – Im trying to change, but it’s expensive. Do I have to follow the whole day or can I substitute in the combinations of carbs, fruit, protein and vegetables? What happens if I use regular skim milk or regular butter?
