Hi, Zgayle. Coconut oil is acceptable if you need the flavoring or a choice that provides more structure in a food (as in baking), but it shouldn’t be consumed in high amounts by most people. Avocado and olive oils tend to be more favorable.

Buy oils like avocado are mentioned frequently, but what about coconut oil?
