Hi, mari0411. As long as your medications have your system as balanced as possible, you can lose weight. Cortisol can sometimes present a challenge, but as long as you limit simple carbohydrates and get plenty of protein (high in this program) and calcium, you should be fine. As far as butter on bread goes, you can have half a teaspoon per slice if there is no other spread; otherwise, I would encourage you to swap out another fat (i.e., have a salad dressing based on vinegar or lemon juice instead of oil, and then you can have a full teaspoon of butter).

How does this work with a person how does not have a pituitary gland and is on cortisol and levothyroxine? Does it help with weight loss? I know the medicine works against weight loss? When the meal planner include bread can you have butter on the bread?
