Ossie-Sharon 6 years ago | Hi, Molly, and welcome. First, seasoned rice vinegar absolutely is a free food. Second, the amount of carbohydrates is actually fairly low – about 45% of energy (compared to up to 70% in regular eating patterns) – and encouraged to be mostly complex, from foods high in fiber. Many weight loss diets are lower in carbohydrates, but they are often not sustainable, and so people give up on them and regain the weight. If the amount here makes you uncomfortable, then you can trade them for other items, such as proteins (trade exchanges one for one) and fats (2 fat exchanges for each carb exchange). |
mollyb709 6 years ago | Hi, I just joined and have 2 questions. The first is seasoned rice vinegar considered a free food? I didn’t see it listed anywhere but did see vinegar as a free food. Second, is it normal to have so many carbs on a daily basis. All the diets I’ve done have limited carbs. I’m not used to eating carbs at so many meals and snacks. |
