Hi, Suelar, and welcome. The following are answers to your questions:
1. Yes, you can have potatoes.
2. Yes, you can have a square of dark chocolate – chocolate is in the Menu Planner food list under “Sweets” (it’s listed as “Chocolate (high % cocoa)”)
3. Health-oriented stores such as Whole Foods Market and online shops such as Amazon carry specialty items – see our guide (https://www.trimdownclub.com/shopping-links-for-healthy-foods). Flaxseed gel is something you make by grinding together 1 part whole flaxseeds with 3 parts warm water, then straining the gel through a wire-mesh colander.
4.
a. Unfortunately, store-bought orange juice is rarely a good idea – only if it is 100% fresh-squeezed, pulp included, refrigerated, no additives, etc. Squeezing your own and drinking it right away is much better, and blending a whole orange and diluting it with water to make it drinkable is best.
b. With regard to whole wheat products, there the “100%” is what makes the difference, not the type of product.
c. We don’t recommend Pam or similar products because they contain butane (only the pump bottles do not). it is better to put something like natural olive oil in a mister or use a silicone brush. Butter sprays contain artificial ingredients just like regular margarines, so they are not recommended.
Hope that helps!

Just signed up. I wanted to speak to an expert on these questions. I am not sure if this is where I post to ask an expert.
1. Can you have potatoes? 2.Can you have a square of dark chocolate, I heard it was good for you?.Where do you buy all those special ingredients like quinoa flour, flaxseed gel etc. 4.Can you have orange juice from the store if it says not from concentrate and it says 100% natural, or do you just squeeze your own if you want OJ? Why can you have whole wheat english muffins, but not whole wheat bread aren,t they about the same? What can you use in the pan to keep things from sticking. Can you use a spray like Pam or is a little olive oil is better. Can you use those butter sprays on your vegetables or it that just as bad a margarine, which I got rid of.
