Hi, Debra. The articles in the link above are probably more what you are looking for. As for the advertisements, we do try to make a point to include links to the sources, but I will pass along your query just to make sure.
As for the fish, it is not just an issue of deep frying – but also the fact that more and more commercially produced fish do not have the omega-3 content expected of them, and in fact have a very high omega-6 to omega-3 ratio, which can be very, very disadvantageous to health and weight loss efforts. If you stick to wild coldwater fish such as salmon and trout, as well as “fortified” fish (farmed, but given feed high in omega-3), you’ll be fine. By the way, tuna is also high in omega-3, but it tends to be highest in mercury. If you like canned tuna, it is best in water, as the oils drain out the omega-3s that are there.

I don’t like to watch infomercials, so I didn’t listen to the one in the latest email sent out by TDC on “NEVER eat this type of fish (EVER)” which stated “Take it from our colleague and top medical doctor, Dr. Phil Spiess; avoid these 4 types of fish like the plague.”

What are the 4 types of fish to never eat?
I’m guessing two of the four would be: fast food fish fillet sandwiches, and most farm raised fish.

Also, is it possible to have links to the online articles about the various information presented in all these infomercials for those of us who would rather read, than watch and listen? Thank you.

Kind regards,
Deb
