I drink shakeology – a meal replacement shake for breakfast. It is all natural…and I add additional whey to it.

Meal replacement shakes are generally not recommended for more than one meal a day, and then they are best either at breakfast or at a small meal between the three major meals. It is indeed recommended that you be sure the shake is free of overly processed ingredients, bad fats, simple sugars etc.; it should provide vitamins, minerals, proteins, good fats, and ideally, a source of fiber as well.

I wondered about that too as I have Betty Lou’s low glycemic protein shake I like. It doesn’t have lactose, gluten, sugar & is free of hormones. The chocolate flavor isn’t bad. Yet I am getting hooked on playing with the fresh foods for meals!

So, just curious if we can do a meal replacement shake instead of eating a meal. Would that totally imbalance our numbers and progress? The one that we are looking at has good numbers all the way through…even the sugars are low to nill
