![]() | Hi, djtillar. In the Apps section, at the bottom of the page on the left is the link to Menu History. |
![]() | I can’t seem to find my Menu History! Every time I go to the Menu Planner I have to generate a new week’s worth of menus! I don’t have to pick the foods again as my choices are all saved, but in the info it says I should have a way to see my past menus and I don’t see a way to get to them. I don’t want to have to print it out. Can someone help? |
![]() | If you will read “getting started ” in the SBS forum under the little palm tree… it will really help you with the menu planner!!! 😛 |
![]() | Hi, jlawrence4436. You don’t have to cook all the meals. Note that there are foods in the lists that can be eating largely as is, and don’t take much time. Examples include fruits, vegetables, yogurt, breads with spreads, cheese, or cold cuts, etc. If you are on-the-go, you can put shakes or soups into thermoses – see our recipes for ideas. |
![]() | Hello All, I too am having trouble with the meal planners, I work from 6am to 5.45pm, and am not home to cook all these small meals, I cook once a day in the evenings… I have a quick breakfast of cereal in the mornings, then when I am in the office between 9 & 2 it’s something easy that i can eat at my desk… Then I have to wait until i arrive home at 6pm to cook some dinner… |
![]() | Hi, watkinslj. Try the recipes with “Classic,” “Simple,” “Homemade,” or “Basic” in the title. |
![]() | I’m a simple kind of person and am having trouble with finding things things to eat. I live in a mid-west, rural area, where there are no gourmet grocery stores to shop at and have only a small section of produce labeled as “organic”. I would like to see more recipes that only have 3 ingredients (that I’ve heard of) and as few of steps to prepare them. Thanks for any suggestions. |
![]() | Hi, Carol50. Whole Foods Market is an excellent source of these foods, and you can find them online at http://www.goodnessdirect.co.uk, where you can also read a little about them. |
![]() | Hi, Sharon Thanks for offer of finding source of foods which I find difficult also some foods do not have the English names but the American ones so I don’t know what they are so any help would be great. I live in Darlington, Co Durham England |
![]() | Hi, krakenmama. There is definitely a period of adjustment – as you may have seen some others felt as you do now. It does get easier. A sandwich won’t make you gain weight if the rest of your meals are in balance, and if you take easy, portable snacks (nuts, fruit, vegetables, crackers and cheese, or even shakes or soups in thermoses), it can work. Just make small changes gradually. Again, if you would like help finding the foods, just let me know where you live, and I will send you some links. |
![]() | I agree with the confusion. The meal combinations seem weird sort of like two meals in one. Also one of mine was a sandwich for a snack and I know if I ate that I would put on weight. I see some of you aren’t even using the menus which is the way I think I will have to go. It is not very straightforward and although I am only on day 1 I am disappointed that I joined. Sorry to sound negative but I feel that I will spend too much time making all these bits and pieces of meals. I understand the theory of six small meals but there are a lot of days that is not feasible with lifestyle. I guess I will have to delve deeper to see how I can fit this in to my lifestyle or just accept I have blown my money. I also believe it is a very americanised menu (no offence to the American ladies!) |
![]() | Hi, Carol50. It is great that you are in touch with your hunger signals. The major thrusts of the program include eating whole, unprocessed foods, which result in more volume – so you can cut back your portions and still be full. Then there is the timing of the meals, as well as the combinations, which you’ve done instinctively. Bravo 🙂 The foods are actually taken from around the world, so they are available globally. Where are you located? I would be happy to help you find sources. |
![]() | Hi, I still haven’t used the menu as directed as you say it’s too much food, I seemed to be either looking for the ingredients and then cooking it’s far too much for me. I also find the mix of food per meal very strange. What I have been doing is reducing my portion sizes by quite a lot and making sure that per meal has a mix of protein, carbs and veg as much as possible this seems to be helping me, I don’t think it’s the diet that’s working for me as I haven’t kept to it at all. It’s also very difficult to find the foods as they appear to only available in the USA. |
![]() | These comments have been very helpful for me. As I also am having a hard time with the menu. The lady who had to make 12 before she found one she liked was good. I might have to do that. Since I’ve joined I haven’t started to use the menu. As there seems to be way to much food that I am to eat every day. And I don’t want to gain. Are you sure if I follow what they give me to eat, & I stick with it, that I will lose weight.????? I need to try and see, but I for sure don’t want to gain what I’ve already lost. So back to the menu planner for me. 🙂 |
![]() | Hi, Carol50, and welcome! You can use legumes just like another vegetable in your salad, and throw them in – it’s a very popular thing, especially with sprouted legumes. If that doesn’t sound good to you, then swap them out using the circular arrow icon next to them. |
