![]() | Hi, Kay. You will find free foods listed in the personal version of the Menu Planner (the right-most option at https://www.trimdownclub.com/menu-planner) behind two category buttons: “Vegetables” and “Free.” |
![]() | I cannot find the free items list. How do I get to it? |
![]() | Hi, user_mealplan_725291, and welcome. If you go to this link here – https://www.trimdownclub.com/menu-planner – you will be given options to build your menus. The right-most option is the personal version, and you will see food lists there. The foods are color-coded, wherein in the lighter blue shades are the healthiest. |
![]() | I am new at this and i still cant find the food options |
![]() | Hi bowenjab, |
![]() | Having trouble staying on menue long enough to get anywhere as I have a disabled family member and when I try to go back it is like I have to start over |
![]() | Dear Ossie-Sharon, I have realised that I had cooked foods selected for breakfast and/or lunch, so I have unticked these now, so they don’t appear for those times of meals. Hopefully will be ok now. Thanks. |
![]() | Hi Ossie-Sharon, |
![]() | Hi, tapdance. Tea is great, and a little semi-skimmed milk is fine – if it adds up to more than 120 ml throughout the day, just count it in your daily intake. |
![]() | Hello, I really enjoy tea with semi skimmed milk and do not wish to give this up, as this is about eating sensibly and not be miserable. How do I know what to remove from my menus and reply with milk and tea? This is my first few days on here and am struggling a little. Also I work during the day and the menus provided to me are foods that I cannot realistically cook/eat during this time. I know I can swap foods out, but sometimes the choices are also inconvenient. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance. |
![]() | Hey there, welcome back 🙂 |
![]() | Hi there. I’m ashamed to admit that I have been off the website for a while. Sadly, last March my father suddenly passed away, so I got distracted with all of that and ever since, just completely lost all my efforts and progress with TDC. However, I recently decided with the new year, to get back on track. I’ve noticed quite a few changes since I was on last year, and one of them that I’m struggling with is the menu planner. I used to be able to completely change a meal from scratch if I wasn’t happy with it. Now, I’m seeing that when you create a menu, and you hit the little refresh or change meal icon, it just gives you another meal option (I think there’s like five options), but I cannot change the meal myself based on the exchanges. I hope that makes sense?? I would like to at times be able to put my own foods into my menu to replace the foods that are generated for me. Is this still possible, and I’m just not doing something right, or have they done away with this feature all together?? Thanks |
![]() | Hi, Jarijohn. You can see your allotted exchanges by clicking on the exchange view icon in the toolbar above your finished menu. A general list of exchanges of staples can be viewed here: https://www.trimdownclub.com/exchanges-view. |
![]() | how do you find the “exchange” of carbs, protein, etc. on recipes that people have sent in. a lot of them just show the recipe but not what to exchange it with or the amount of carbs, etc. you don’t know if you’re using 1or 5 carbs or protein per recipe? |
![]() | Hi, Ms. Geddes. First, you’ve come to the right place – the Trim Down Club program is based on principles of nutritional care for diabetes and high cholesterol. Second, I would recommend that you use the personal Menu Planner application (click on “Apps” above, and use the right-most option inside) so that your menus can be built based on foods you choose, and so you can avoid foods that may aggravate your digestive conditions. For reflux, it it is recommended to avoid fried, spicy, and acidic foods, as well as too much caffeine; other “restrictions” are very individual, so be aware of how you respond to food. Note that the meal arrangement here is supportive in that the smaller meals may be easier on your stomach. For diverticulitis, it is recommended that you avoid nuts, seeds, and popcorn, as well as other foods with tiny hard particles. |
