First, healthy “protein bars” don’t have the same number of calories as even a small meal – you may need to double up.
Second, be sure to go organic and all-natural, with the least amount of processed ingredients and sugars as possible. A good example is Pure Bar – take a look at the ingredients list for an idea of what to look for.

I have a hard time eating as well, so I replace some of my meals with protein bars. This may help, it is not as bad as eating a whole meal with all the necessary fixings to keep you healthy.
