![]() | Hi, Debcargo. We advise against agave syrup because it is quite hard on the liver. |
![]() | What about Agave syrup? |
![]() | Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll definitely give them a try. I stopped using sweeteners a few years ago when I read about the damage that artificial sweeteners can cause. |
![]() | Hi, Deb. Homemade is definitely the way to go. Get fresh lemons (or limes, if you can’t find lemons in shops, as the season is just about over), and squeeze 2 tablespoons (30 ml) juice in your glass (with a small strainer, if you have one), a cup (240 ml) of water, then add a good sweetener. If you don’t like plain Stevia, perhaps you can try a Stevia-erythritol blend (the Sucrazit company makes packets that are pretty tasty). If that is still too bitter, see if you can get used to adding pure maple syrup as your sweetener, just 1 teaspoon (5 ml) or less to each glass. It really is worth getting used to any new tastes involved. |
![]() | With the warm weather closer rather than further away, my love of lemonade will be tapping at my door. I don’t like Stevia, but do enjoy frozen concentrate lemonade or homemade. Is there a way to incorporate it into my weekly menu? I live in Israel…..believe me when I say the average heat is above 85 degrees F and the humidity usually sits at about 65%. Yuch! Lemonade really helps. Thanx. |
