Thank you for responding !!! My Dr. report today showed my A1C has come from 7.2 to 6.8 in the past 4 weeks I have been on this diet and I feel so much better. Also, the neuropathy in my feet is so much better.

Hi, Janiecstaley. If you recently started going to the gym, you may be swapping muscle for fat. Muscle weighs more, so the number on the scale may be misleading. It may be more accurate to see how you are looking and feeling and how your clothes are fitting.
If you have been going to the gym for a while (months, years, etc.), it may help to mix up your workout to keep your muscles from becoming compliant. Please let me know if you would like more guidance with this.

I am starting my 5th week on your diet. I love the diet and my sugar has been amazing since I have been on it. However, I am disappointed that I have only lost 3 lbs. Since I started the diet ,I have been going to the gym 3 times a week so you would think I would have lost more.

Hi, jackie1951. Sure – just watch the portions and additives, and budget the drink into your day (i.e., swap it in for one of your snacks). You may find this article helpful: https://www.trimdownclub.com/does-alcohol-help-or-harm-your-weight-loss/.

Is it ok to have a drink when I go out w my friends

Ossie-Sharon 4 years ago

Hi, jackie1951. Absolutely! Total mix-and-match arrangement. And you can repeat meals and even whole days as often as you like.

Hi, jackie1951. The six meal plan that is our standard was actually arranged to limit hunger, so I suggest you take advantage of that. Selecting foods that have a lot of volume – water and fiber, such as vegetables and soups – can help fill you stomach, so try to make these your first course. You can also use beverages between meals and snacks to ease things – no-carbohydrate options like tea or coffee with natural sweeteners like Stevia and/or erythritol can be sipped and distract you; you may also like steeped water – see the ideas here https://www.trimdownclub.com/how-to-make-detox-water/?tdc_uid=155.
It can also help to keep yourself busy with activities that you like as much (or nearly as much) as eating, so that your mind is elsewhere.

The steroids make me hungry,. I can’t seem to control my appetite. Any suggestions

Hi, jackie1951. First, congratulations! Second, you have come to the right place. What is recommended to deal with the puffiness is to avoid too many carbohydrates (especially simple carbohydrates), saturated fats, and sodium, and focus on calcium, protein, and healthy unsaturated fats – exactly what we recommend. This means using fresh, lean meats instead of fatty cuts and readymade sandwich meats, using whole grain products, plenty of fruits and especially non-starchy vegetables, nuts and seeds, and olive oil and fatty fish (salmon, tuna, mackerel, herring, sardines). If you would like more detailed information, please let me know.
