Hi, Jan. Did you choose the recipes? Perhaps limit these, and just prepare basic items with seasonings. As you use the menus, you will see through practice how the proteins, grains, fruits, etc. come together and in what portion sizes and at what times. Even now, you can always swap out items in your menu with others in the food groups in the Menu Planner program. For example, if you don’t have time to cook a cup of rice, replace it with a couple of slices of bread; most fish and chicken doesn’t need more than a little olive oil and spices to make it work under the broiler.
In the future, the menu patterns will be made available.

When I got my sample menu – I was shocked. I work – I dont’ have time to preapre this stuff.. What I really wanted was a diet that says : Breakfast 1 Oz protein.. 1 fruit 1 grain. SNACK pick from these etc etc.:
Any ideas? I can follow picking from a list like that.. but otherwise I feel I wasted my money.
