![]() | Hi People, This plan does work. I’m not following the plan so strictly, I just use meal plans as a general guide. In 3 weeks I have lost 2kg. I have been doing some exercise, but not a great deal. however, I was not overweight to begin with, just trying to trim down in general, and become more healthy. I am seeing indications that my metabolism is indeed speeding up (I.e. More bowel movements in one day – 2-4, as opposed to one). Good luck with it and I think it pays to be really strict about the no sugar issue, and strictly eating whole grain products. I rarely feel hungry between the meals and snacks, unless I leave it too long between eating. |
![]() | I have been on this program for a week and I too am gaining. What a disapointment |
![]() | I have finished my first week of menus and have gained 2 pounds.Where do i find the second weeks menus/ |
![]() | Hi, iosisioma. It does get easier! Be patient with yourself, and just ease into it. If you have questions, I’m here. |
![]() | Hello Ossie-Sharon, Thank you for your advice. I am so frustrated. I will try and do more exercises and wait to see what happens. I know that my stress level has increased. I am also struggling with that. I could use all the help from you please. Thank you |
![]() | Thanks Sharon. Actually this is kind of funny. I had just returned from the kitchen with a new 26 oz of spicy Hummus and pepper veges sticks, sat down and started reading your reply saying I should use: Garlic, hot peppers, etc. When I took a bite of the Hummus I didn’t realized it was hot. Then I read the ingredients, Organic Garlic, Organic Jalapenos, spices, etc. I guess I bought the right stuff. |
![]() | Hi, Staken. Low-cal diets have a tendency to cause weight gain after a dramatic loss. You are on the right track here – just give your body a litle time to get used to normal amounts of food again, and vary your exercise to keep your muscles burning fat. Switch out muscle groups, and break up your steady cardio with bursts of intensity (i.e. jog for 30 seconds every 5 minutes of a walk), add weight-training, etc. Nothing has to be large-scale, just something. Yoga is great for toning abs to swap out belly fat, and if you like spicy food, hot pepper, yellow curry, and fresh garlic are considered important for metabolic recovery. |
![]() | I have just come off of a low cal diet and lost about 35lbs but I still have about 25 of belly fat I need to get rid of. I have been trying to find diets which target that area. I just finished reading, “Zero Belly Diet” and am trying to make a diet in the menu planner that will work for me. In the meantime I have gained back about 6 lbs. I have started doing morning exercising but the weight is still climbing. I know from the past from doing Adkins that the weight can come back quickly if I don’t do something quickly to stop it. I am eating healthy and am trying to work myself in to a routine. Any suggestions? |
![]() | Hi, NeilP. First, note that the biggest time investment is pretty much just at the beginning, as you get your menus and shopping lists set up. Second, you can repeat meals and days as often as you like, which can greatly simplify your shopping and food preparation – you can even prepare foods in larger quantities on the weekend and freeze for later reheating. Another simplification option is to specify in your profile that you want limited variety, and then select foods in the Menu Planner application with which you feel more comfortable. |
![]() | Hi, Irene. If you have been on restrictive diets in the past and have a high stress level, it is very likely that your metabolism has slowed a bit, and so needs some time to recover and get used to normal amounts of food again that will also keep you well-nourished. |
![]() | I can see how you would. I am already getting frustrated by just the sheer amount of printing/ paperwork. buying is required to try this. For two of us in a small apartment, with a small kitchen, we don’t even really have enough room for this amount of food in the place at any one time. I am sitting here with about 25 sheets of paper with shopping lists, menus / recipes etc. This is OK, I think, if you do not have a full time job, or are retired. For a normal working person none of this seems practical . |
![]() | I have tried this program but I find that I am gaining weight rather then losing it. I think that my stress level is very high and that is causing me to gain weight. Does anybody have an advise on what to do to help me lose weight? |
