Hi, Chickadee77. If you have created a menu through the Menu Planner application, click on the “Exchange mode” button in the toolbar above it and your pattern will be displayed. Another advantage of starting with a Menu Planner menu is that you can use it to build your menu – just click on the circular arrow icon to the upper right of each meal, and you can slip foods into each exchange slot. That way, you can mix any source of protein you want. The dairy is generally protein – but also carb if it is fluid milk, or also fat if it is something very high in fat such as whole milk. Grapes are in the fruit category, and not considered a source of protein – but your breakfast looks great!

I would like to know what exchange list I should use for preparing my own recipes, I had a look on the forum and saw that ratios changed per person. Could you please tell me what my daily exchange needs are, I am 5’6 weigh 240 am 37 and exercise is moderate.
I would like to mix dairy or protein or both in the morning if allowed, also should I mainly focus on low or high carb items or does it matter.
Example breakfast: 1 carb (rye bread), 1 dairy (80g flavoured Greek yoghurt), 1 fruit (grapes) protein??? Fat??? Or is dairy the fat?
Thanks
