I am new to TDC, and so there may be a lot easier way to do find out how many carbs, proteins, fats, fruits and vegetables to have in a day, but, what I did was used the App that generates a menu for you and then I clicked the options that shows the exchange values of the foods. Then you can get a pretty good idea of how many of each the food categories and the best combination for you at each meal, snack and total for the day. I just looked at each meal, snack and daily totals and figured out what the system was using to generate my menus. I believe the system bases it on several factors such as your current weight, age, whether you want to lose or maintain weight, etc. Hope this helps. I would tell what I found were my combinations and totals per meal, snack and the day, but, it could very well be different for you and I wouldn’t want to lead you astray. Good Luck! Annette |
