Hi, ddosnach. You can find the master food list by clicking on the edit tool to the upper right of each meal. To find out what you are allotted for each meal and day, click on the “Exchange View” button above your menu. The exchanges translate to the following approximate nutritional values:
1 carbohydrate exchange = 15 grams of carbohydrates + up to 3 grams of protein
1 protein exchange = 7 grams of protein + up to 5 grams of fat
1 fat exchange = 5 grams of fat
1 fruit exchange = 15 grams of carbohydrates
1 vegetable exchange = 5 grams of carbohydrates + up to 2 grams of protein
1 sweet exchange = up to 15 grams of carbohydrates + up to 5 grams of fat
1 free exchange = up to 5 grams of carbohydrates or up to 2 grams of protein or fat

Hi, WhippstersWife. I have forwarded your issue to tech support. Someone will get back to you soon.

My shopping list does not have the correct amounts of everything on it, that is on my weekly meal planner. There is also many things missing. Why?

Hi, Caliber347. I have forwarded your input to the tech development team.

I agree, D60beach. For me it is additional allergies, though, not so much dislikes. There should be more to choose from when enrolling. I am allergic to nightshades, shellfish, soy, gluten/wheat, dairy, and additives.

Hi, Nellie2020. Absolutely! Click on the “Exchange View” button above your menu to see what exchanges are allotted to each meal and snack, and then consolidate them as you wish. To do this, click on the edit tool at the upper right of each meal header, then make your selections – ignore any red indicators that you have gone over your limit. Note that since the system wants something at every meal, you can just add a random item like “Vegetables of Your Choice.” The foods in the Master List are intentionally generic so that you can prepare them as you wish – though you can get ideas from our searchable recipe collection.
If you would like additional help, please let me know.

Hi. Is it possible to take out snack items and eliminate them and make meals bigger. I am not a snack person.

Hi, Darfranco. That’s 100 CALORIES from carbohydrate, equaling 25 grams. No worries.

I just created my keto plan. I have 100 carbs for monday! That doesn’t look right. Any suggestions? I have had so many problems with this program, I’m about to quit !

Hi, D60beach and Crzybebb, and welcome! We are currently updating the Quick Start Guide to match the new Menu Planner version. You absolutely can personalize your menu. To do this, be sure you are not in the keto route (if you are now, then deselect “keto” in the “Dietary Needs” section of your profile, then generate a new menu that will be your template). For personalization, click on the edit tool at the upper right of each meal, then make your food selections – you will be guided by your meal pattern, calculated to meet your nutritional needs. The foods are intentionally fairly generic, so that you can prepare them as you wish, still following the principles exhibited in our recipes (for keto, be sure to look for that word in the recipe).
If you want to make it keto, you can do so through the following substitutions:
* For each carbohydrate exchange, use two fat exchanges
* For each fruit exchange, use a vegetable exchange (unless you use low-carbohydrate fruits like cantaloupe, casava melon, raspberries, or strawberries.
* For a fruit exchange, use an ounce of dark chocolate (preferably 70% or higher cocoa solids) or a 125-calorie portion of one of our keto desserts.

If you prefer fewer meals per day as in the keto plan, you can add exchanges from the unwanted snacks to your other meals. Note that since the system wants something at every meal, you can just add a random item like “Vegetables of Your Choice.”
If you would like additional help, please let me know.

I am in the same boat. I don’t have the option on my PC to create a personal menu plan.

Hi! I’m new and trying to create a personal menu plan. After reading the Quick Start Guide, my computer screen doesn’t look like what they show in the guide. Under My Plan, 8 weeks, week 1, I click on “create meal plan” and it comes up with a planned meal. Do I have to go into each category and edit the foods I like/dislike?
It seems it should be easier than that to change what we want to eat.
Please HELP!!!
