It is generally best if that last time you eat something before turning in for the night is about 1-2 hours before. If you plan to work out in the evenings, then yes, it would be optimal to eat dinner before. HOWEVER, in the name of normalcy, you can also switch meals around so that you have a larger dinner-type meal around 4, and then snacks after you work out (snacks can be put together like a meal as well).

What time is ideal for eating dinner and the last snack of the day?

If I workout in the evenings, I assume eating dinner before the workout is best – so I will be eating dinner at work or during my 1 hour commute.

Advice?
