That is sort of what I thought too but I also have a confession: I haven’t strictly gone by the day to day diet as I can’t seem to get around to eating when I should especially at work but another week, another try. I WILL DO THIS !!!

Hi, Reenie. I’m glad to read that you’re feeling well. Note that muscle is heavier than fat, so if you’re exercising, that may be producing the numerical disconnect.

Having a few stomach problems so can’t eat everything I would like but everything seems to be going well. So far so good. I find I have gained about 3 pounds but getting into smaller clothes. Go figure. I know water is heavier than fat. Maybe I am retaining water right now.
First time I haven’t had to feel hungry all the time. I seem to have more energy too. Wonderful!!!

•Nuts and seeds
•Trail mix combinations of nuts, seeds, and dried fruit
•Sandwiches – good breads with nut butters, hummus and similar spreads, tahini, canned or smoked fish, cheese, homemade “cold cuts” from fresh meats, egg salad, etc.
•Whole grain or Paleo crackers plus any of the above
•Hard-boiled eggs
•Sliced or string cheese
•Cottage cheese
•Yogurt
•Milk (dairy or vegetal), plain or flavored with cocoa powder and a recommended sweetener
•Hearty soup in a thermos (2-3 food groups, i.e. meat or legume, vegetable, whole grain)
•Hearty smoothie/shake in a thermos (2-3 food groups, i.e. fruit/vegetable, dairy/vegan, seeds)
•Edamame or other legume/pulse snacks
•Whole grain or Paleo cereal or granola (cold in small sealable bag, cooked in thermos)
•Canned beans
•Prepared healthy foods in containers – from leftovers or prepared the night or weekend before.

Thanks Ossie, I just have a busy schedule (not work, retired). I am gone almost everyday with bridge, dominos, tennis, etc. I can’t carry this much snacks or eat that much in front of friends. I just wonder if you can swap one veggie for another like instead of eggplant use a squash. Or can you add other veggies in a quiche (like onions, green peppers, parmesan cheese). And for snacks take a fruit or the cheese and crackers from the list. Ok thanks for your help

Hi, Denise. The plan is quite flexible. Do whatever is comfortable 🙂 Just be sure to get at least 5 total servings of fruits/vegetables and 3 total servings of calcium-rich foods/beverages each day.

how flexible is this meal? I wont be able to eat all this. Can we eliminate some of the snacks or even maybe a meal item? instead of going out to buy 3 or 4 types of breads, when its only my husband and myself and he seldom touches bread. cant I just use the one kind. I am not going to buy a pack of rolls to eat 2. I will shop today so will make a few changes if possible.

Hi, Retourne. I don’t see that in your menus. Can you be specific as to the day and snack?

I notice that there are snacks for mid morning and afternoon. One snack was 3 ounces loin pork and some rice. i would normally have this as an evening meal

I’m struggling eating six times a day – I am putting my snacks together and my evenig snack as a pudding after my lunch is this ok

Hi, Phylwrg, and welcome 🙂 I’m glad to read that you are not hungry here.
While you don’t necessarily need to eat six times per day, one of the points of the program is to get you to eat at least three times per day to balance metabolic factors.
Try reducing the size of your snacks to just be fruit or vegetables or a serving of cheese.
