![]() | Hey Turtlehurder. I changed my user name to my real name DianeM. I am trying to make up my meal plans today, go shopping tomorrow and then begin. |
![]() | Hey Elphinstone, Best plan I have come across and I’ve researched tons of them. I don’t call it a diet either. I refer to it as a health program most of the time. That is actually what it is. Good Luck, just don’t push yourself too hard, read all the material and experiment with the menu. Sharon will answer all your questions. |
![]() | I love your words. I have tried lots of diets and nothing that works. I am going to try this plan and not call it a diet. I have done lots of reading and am ready to go. |
![]() | Hey Bluebird and welcome to the club. I can not give advise but the first thing that worked for me was finding some very simple meals that I liked. Easy to fix, shop for and convenient for my life style. I stuck with that and after a few days started feeling the difference and shedding some lbs. I slowly started adding other foods and experimenting. As far as quantity, Just remember to keep foods in proportion when you eat less. If you like V8, it is a great means for vegetables sometimes. Low sodium though. |
![]() | I also found that I felt gorged after eating two veggies for lunch. I was feeling very uncomfortable. So I an only eating one serving of vegetable at lunch and feeling full, but not to the point of being uncomfortable. I have only been on the diet one week, and so far have not lost or gained any new pounds. Bluebird5 |
![]() | Thanks Sharon and thanks for all of your support. I had written much more but was on a pc at work using a touch pad that I hate using. Every time I got near the end I would touch something wrong and lose everything I had written. My sister joined a few months ago, got discouraged and I’m also trying to get her to contact you and hang in as I did. I think/know if folks would learn how your plan works and how to use all the tools given, especially the meal planner, they would be much more successful. I was so discouraged until you responded to some of my questions, I realized I wasn’t in this along and once I started understanding how your plan works it got easier, easier, more enjoyable and even fun. I have 3 fellow associates that have joined because of my success but they just can’t understand how it works and all try too hard. I do work with them from day to day though and think they are getting it now. Maybe you can put more emphasis on the FUN and ENJOYABLE side??? I know how impossible that may be but if I had a means of letting all know how miserable I was 19 months ago compared to how I feel and present myself now, I know we could convince and help a few to succeed. Again, thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and answering all my questions. I think/know your program is the best BY FAR available and at the best bargain but if not for you, I might have let it slip through my fat/thin Ok, average fingers. Thanks Sharon!!! |
![]() | WOW! Turtlehurder, I am over the moon for your success. I’m so glad you’re looking well and feeling well without too much struggling. I wish you continued health, and if you need anything, we are here to help in whatever way we can 🙂 🙂 |
![]() | This post is for anyone that has become discouraged and new members. When I joined over a year ago I became discouraged at first and almost gave up. I got some encouraging words from Sharon and decided to hang in. My biggest problem was trying to eat everything on my planned meals. Sharon explained that I could eat less, just keep the different foods in proportion according to the planner. I begun to understand how the TDC really worked, lightened up on myself, started experimenting with the meal planner and having fun with it. I weighed 233 when I joined, felt exhausted and hated passing by a mirror or reflective window. I trimmed down to 188, feel very energetic and can actually tie my shoes standing up… Next time you are in a grocery store, pick up 9 5lb bags of sugar. That is the weight I was carrying around all the time and mostly on my stomach. So, if you ever become discouraged at all, communicate and ask questions. I have asked several and Sharon has always responded promptly and thoroughly. And remember, use all the many, many tools here, play with the meal planner, never eat anything you do not like and HAVE FUN!!!! |
