Hi, Freda. Bisto is fine in small amounts – it is a processed product, and so we would rather you make something from scratch, if you can (you can check out our recipes). Regarding the unfamiliar foods you mentioned, most are indeed rice alternatives – you can see a brief description of each at this online shopping site: http://www.goodnessdirect.co.uk. Bok choy is a “green,” much like spinach or chard.
