![]() | Hi Ossie thankyou for your reply, and now i will be more on track..and go through my menue again, and make the right choices, once again thankyou for all your support…love and light |
![]() | Hi, PurpleSkye. The number of slices you would be allotted depends on how many other carbs you selected in the Menu Planner program (including cereals, rice, potatoes, etc), and how many carbohydrates you need for your height and weight. One slice is one exchange (as in the diabetic system), and you are probably allotted around 10 exchanges per day. |
![]() | Thanks for your fast response. I thought 100% whole wheat spikes up you insulin levels therefore makes you gain weight. It was the #2 food on the list not to eat and the #1 was orange juice. |
![]() | Hi, Soula. “100% whole wheat bread made with wheat flour” is not gluten-free, but it is definitely fits in the program. |
![]() | Is 100% whole wheat bread made with wheat flour ok???? |
![]() | Hi OSSIE…i went and had a look on the site you gave me BUT i live in SOUTH AUSTRALIA, in the counrty. The country life bread is made of mainly almond meal and gluten free grains. So how many slices of that would i be allowed per week….love and light. |
![]() | There are no products in the Menu Planner currently labeled “gluten-free” – instead, the breads are largely open to interpretation and personal selection, i.e. “100% whole GRAIN”. You choose what you want. An example of a whole grain gluten-free bread with relatively low GI is http://canyonbakehouse.com/bakery-products/10/7-Grain.html |
![]() | Hi OSSIE, i have had a look at my NEW MENUE PLANNER…and like my old one there isnt any GLUTEN FREE BREAD on there….the only gluten free bread that i can get is made by COUNTRY LIFE and its low gi….as i havent eaten any bread since being on this plan my doctor is worried that when i start eating this bread again that my weight will return. I only used to eat 1 slice of this bread a day. Also eating RICE CAKES makes my sugar go to low very quickly as i have REACTIVE HYPLYGLOMCIA (low sugar levels) but i am NOT a DIABETIC..can you please help me….love and light. |
