![]() | Hi, tlloydapteach and AnnaH. Fruit is not particularly bad after a certain hour (actually, a fatty meal with simple carbohydrates, such as pizza, is more troublesome). Having protein with the fruit can slow down any associated sugar spikes – so if you swap fruit in, be sure to have some nuts, cheese, etc. with it. |
![]() | I am not a dietician but I have read that you shouldn’t eat fruit after 2pm because of its sugar content. I can’t remember all the science behind it but eating fruit too late in the day can increase weight gain because your body can’t metabolize it fast enough before bed |
![]() | Is there a reason for fruit not being part of the evening snack? Is it OK to swap it out for sometimes? Particularly apples. |
