![]() | Hi, sevans2010, and welcome. There is a “Non-Dairy” option that you can check in your profile to remove all related foods from the Menu Planner – this may make it a little easier to see the substitutes. As for the rest, a couple of the most important things we recommend is to (1) eat whole, unprocessed foods as much as possible so that you won’t have any surprises, and (2) read labels carefully for any ready-made foods such as breads and pastas. If you can make any of these from scratch, so much the better; if you can find a source of chicken, etc. from local organic farms, also better (“knowing your meat” and its grower is like reading a label). Even for people who do not have allergies, there are plenty of undesirable ingredients out there, and while it can be frustrating to have to stay on top of all the nonsense, it really does pay off – and may even become second nature along the way. |
