Fibromyalgia
![]() | Moominmama, I am new to the program too. I also have fibro. Having learned the hard way that exercise can be discouraging, to say the least, I have taken moderation as my motto. Between menopause and fibro I have put on 50 Lbs. I have cut out soy and most dairy as well. I am hoping the frequent, healthy meals will increase my energy levels so I can lose the weight and regain some of my normal lifestyle. I Have found Yoga (if you don’t push it) and gentle Balance Ball workouts, along with walking are exercises I can handle. Aerobics are a thing of the past unless I can spend the next 5 days in bed. Something I have found that is helping with the wgt and the fibro is good sleep. If you aren’t getting quality sleep it makes everything worse. I wish you the best and will follow your progress. |
![]() | Hi, Moominmama, and welcome! You absolutely have the right idea. Little improvements are still improvements, and they will add up. We wish you all the best 🙂 |
![]() | I have fibromyalgia, cut out dairy products and soy in the last few years, looking to lose some weight. However, with my fibromyalgia, my exercise will be at a minimum, as it is like one step forward, two steps back. I try to keep my mind motivated and not let the fibro get me down. Eating better will make a difference, physically and mentally, but i worry I wont be able to exercise much. Walking is about what I can do. I have a stepper that I bought in the days before fibromyalgia. I will give it a go again but I wont be able to work up a sweat as it will put me in bed for a few days and then that defeats the point…. Little bits, often right? I am looking forward to eating healthier though. |
