Hi, mppdx. First, rest assured that overall, the plan is quite low in carbohydrates (40-45% of calories compared to 50-65% for most people) and rather high in protein. Second, if you want less fruit, just swap some of it out for vegetables on your own (consider the fruit a placeholder in your menu). You will still get good antioxidants and fiber.

I’ve been following the plan for several weeks now and am generally very pleased with one possible exception. I’ve never enjoyed eating a lot of fruit on a daily basis and am finding it hard to keep up with all of the meal plans per day. I know the idea is to have an overall, well-balanced diet but how can I eliminate a significant amount of the fruit? I would also like to reduce the overall count of sugar grams I consume daily. I select the low sugar option for the meal plans but still get a lot of fruit!
