Hi, ThinnerKaren. It sounds like you are on the right track!
The Trim Down Club program is also quite low in carbohydrates (especially simple carbohydrates) and high in protein – not as extreme and worrisome as temporary plans such as Atkin’s, and of course, with good fats instead of mainly animal sources – but consistent with research showing optimization of metabolic balance to help people exactly like you, to keep from becoming a full diabetic.

I am 67 years old, recently diagnosed pre diabetic, 5’4″ tall not very active due to back problems and arthritis, trying to walk 30 minutes a day per Dr’s advice also have high blood pressure and high colesterol. Would like to get weight down to 135-140 weigh 185 now. I pretty much gave up sweets, pastas, white bread and processed foods several years ago the only diet I did well with was the adkins diet, but my family keeps telling me that it is not a healthy program. I live alone and do almost no cooking and eat very simply, any advice you may have would be appreciated. Thanks Karen
