![]() | Hi, Bzbubba. Don’t fight it too much. It’s better that you stay in tune with your hunger and satiety signals. If you cut back, be sure not to cut back so much that you’re ravenously hungry in the evening (or worse, in the middle of the night!) or eat so little that it becomes like a crash diet. We recommend to focus on protein and produce, and perhaps cut back a little on the starchy carbohydrates. Be sure to get a total of 5 fruit/vegetable and 3 calcium-rich food/beverage servings each day. |
![]() | I’m glad I asked. One more question. What if you can’t eat the entire meal? |
![]() | Hi, Bzbubba. Sorry – “Vegetables of Your Choice” refer to non-starchy vegetables, such as those used in salads or considered “leafy” or “summer” vegetables. Corn and potatoes (including sweet potatoes) are “starchy” vegetables, and so are in the “Carbohydrates” category along with grain foods. |
