Hi, Nichole55. Coffee is fine (especially if organic). Many of the flavored creamers are processed, but if it is a major source of joy for you (I get that, I really do), never mind. If/when you do want to upgrade, note that you can use flavored nut or coconut milks (vegan dairy milk substitutes) – they are excellent in coffee, and good for your fibromyalgia.

I too use the mini container French vanilla cups ( travel size). I use four a day -two cups of coffee per day. Is it the sugar or the processed or both working against us? Since I’m gluten free and sugar free the only items I eat proceeded are one piece of bread or a gluten fee mini waffle from trader joes. My coffee is my only comfort and my sweet treat. I’m in week 3 but went on Vaca last week via airplane and was unable to e en set myself up with my gluten free snacks. It was rough. So I guess my question is is my coffee comfort going to set me back or do I just see how I do. I only drink water since I can’t have any sugar. I’m not a diabetic but the sugar seriously make my fibromyalgia flare to the extreme! As it and carbs raise my triglycerides.

Hi, etoota2211. Research varies on that, but up to 4 cups per day (a cup meaning about 7-8 fluid ounces or 200-240 ml) appears to be fine for most people, assuming no adrenal health issues. French vanilla may be an issue if it is one of those processed CoffeeMate types of non-dairy creamers – this can work against your efforts here if you drink several cups of coffee per day. It may be better for you to use vanilla-flavored non-dairy milks such as rice or almond – there is quite a variety. These can be portioned out and frozen (either in small containers or ice cube trays for single servings) if you’re concerned about spoilage.
