Enjoying the occasional alcoholic beverage is fine, of course, just work it into your plan by cutting down a little on carb and fat portions, i.e. 1 slice of bread and 1 tsp. of oil for each 4 oz glass of dry wine. As for the beer, of course try to go “light”.

Obviously alcohol is not a part of this diet plan. But what would you recommend for the occasional beer, wine or cocktail when out to dinner or at a social function? Obviously anything with concentrated fruit juice is out.
