Just a note – an ounce is 28 grams.

Hi JudiKael0205, and welcome! As long as the cheese is made from pure ingredients (and especially if the cows are pastured), it’s all good. Each ounce is considered a “protein” exchange. You are absolutely right not to trust the light versions.

Hi,I’m new here and trying to take everything in. I have a question about cheese. I love cheese but obviously I realise it can be full of fat, salt, etc. I am in the UK and eat mainly Cheddar, when grated on pasta, pizza or potatoes… otherwise I love creamy cheese like goat cheese, camembert, which I know are high in fat too. I also eat feta cheese, which is I think healthier. Are there some that are a definite no no? And what are the healthy alternatives? I do not really trust the light versions… I means how can something supposed to be based on fat be light?
