![]() | Hi, kittydog. Have you sought medical attention for what you are describing? Since 60 grams of carbs is about 1/4 of what most people eat (without overeating), it seems rather extreme. Have you noticed which carbs trigger the cravings? |
![]() | I can’t eat over 60 grams of carbs per day w/o getting terrible cravings.. what to do?? |
![]() | Hi, Fishing. Yes, it is 1 to 1. It often just takes slightly longer with a complex carbohydrate. |
![]() | Thanks, Ossie. So what is the conversion rate of a complex carbohydrate the body make to sugar? Is it still 1 to 1? |
![]() | Hi, Fishing. Fibers vs. sugars are listed on most food labels (if no fibers are listed, there probably is not a significant amount). Examples of foods that are likely to have them listed separately include those that are rich in fiber, such as whole grains, beans and legumes (“complex” carbohydrates), where white flour products, potatoes, and sweets are likely to be mostly sugar (“simple” carbohydrates). |
![]() | Thanks, Ossie. Can you give me an example of a fiber vs non fiber? |
![]() | Hi, fishing. Carbs are carbs except for fiber, so the non-fiber amount is gram for gram. |
![]() | Carbohydrates turn into sugars. If I eat 11g of Carbs how many g of sugar does my body turn those Carbs into? What is the conversion rate? |
