Hi, Alishia. If you click on “Exchange mode” in the toolbar above any of your current menus, you will see how many exchanges from the various food groups you can have at each meal and snack. These exchanges correspond to the following food portions: https://www.trimdownclub.com/exchanges-lists.

with the large thin rice cakes /biscuits how many can I have as a snack ? how much mince fry can I have for one portion without potato?

Hi, Theresa. If you are using this recipe for a “carb” exchange, a portion would be 1/24 of a loaf, providing 15 grams of carbohydrates (1.3 grams of fiber), 2 grams of protein, and 1.6 grams of fat. If you are using it as a “sweet” exchange, a portion would be 1/15 of a loaf.

This recipe makes 2 loaves

3 1/2 c flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking sods
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 c. bananas, mashed in blender (add lemon juice)
3/4 c. applesauce (unsweetened) ((this replaces butter))
1 1/2 c. sugar
3 large eggs
3/4 c. milk
3/4 walnuts, ground fine

Set oven at 350*. coconut oil to line pan and sprinkle flour.

sift flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in medium bowl.
In large bowl, mix applesauce and sugar until creamy, add eggs one at a time, beating well after each.
add 1/3 dry ingredients alternately with mild and continue to mix.
Fold in banana-lemon juice mixture and nuts, mixing well.

bake in pans for 50 to 55 minutes.
cool 10 minutes, remove from pans and cool completely. Wrap tightly and keep overnight before slicing.
Freezes well.
