Hi, Vanwingy. You are absolutely right! The point is to keep the metabolism furnace going. As you lose weight, the amounts will go down with you, to right-size your intake.

Currently, you are receiving about 200 g carbohydrates, 90 g fat, and 150 g protein, for just under 2200 calories per day. When you reach your goal weight, you will be getting about 1800 calories per day, 180 g carbohydrates, 70 g fat, and 100 g protein.

Following my weekly menu plan and the 8 week plan .Just curious to know what is the total per day I am consuming. Obviously plenty of food. I would never have had a snack like suggested that is what I eat fro breakfast! But I guess it is to keep the metabolism furnace going.
