HI, Cajohn. Try mixing 2 parts cream of tartar with 1 part baking soda.

i have made these muffins and they are great .I used Gluten free flour ,however i have been getting terrible heartburn after eating one. i put it down to the baking powder in the recipe as baking powder has acid in it. what can i use instead of baking powder?
