Hi, Elaines. Yes – because it is so rich (equal to two fruits or a fruit and a carb), it is a challenge for the system to include it. You can swap in a half banana for any fruit or carb, or whole banana for any two .

Hi Elaine,

I also would like to know about this – Is it the sugar content?
I often used to have a banana mid morning as a snack – but I have yet to see one mentioned on a menu plan (although I have just started)

I am accustomed to having a banana every day at breakfast. Why are bananas included so seldom in the fruit selections?
