I have been on diets for 67 years and told I do not eat enough to lose weight. My body is in starvation mode. Can anyone explain. I hate food, dread getting up in a morning to face “food”. If I don’t eat enough dieticians tell me I will continue to put on weight, WHY? People in Belsen didn’t eat but weren’t obese when they came out. The Trim Down day’s food is completely out of my scope of eating. No way could I consume 6 rice cakes in one meal let alone 12 in one day. I have intolerance to dairy, yeast, wheat and have to read all labels to make sure none of the banned foods appear in the recipe. IS THERE ANYONE WHO CAN HELP? I have been asked politely to leave two previous healthy eating clubs because I did not eat enough. Any ideas what I can say to my doctor to get help from him?

Hi.
I am on day 2 after spending a week researching the programme. I cannot eat all these snacks either. I have tried but then find I cannot face my dinner. I am finding the carb eliment difficult.
I did not print out my menu and I have adjusted it several times since starting to try to find lighter carb swaps.
Do we have to eat all this in order for this eating programme to work? and what about the calorie intake for male versus female or work/lifestyle?
I was not previously “dieting” and have 2kilos to lose- I want to lose belly fat which is sometimes accepted in those over 60 as middle age spread.
I have learned a lot thanks to the articles and reading posts etc and I can see where I have made some mistakes in using pre prepared sauces.
But I am now eating breads and grain biscuits etc that were never part of my previous diet and I feel bloated.
Will stick with it but answers to the snack problem would be good.

I would also like to know more about this. If I am too full to eat a snack (2nd or 3rd) do I have to eat it? I feel like I’m forcing myself to take in extra calories that I don’t need. I understand the idea of keeping my metabolism and blood sugar at an even level, but sometimes I just really don’t want all this food. I haven’t had a 3rd snack yet. I just can’t eat that much.

I work a 10 hour day shift and get home at 6 I am wondering if it is ok to eat my 3rd snack while at work and then be done eating with my Dinner.
