![]() | Hi, Annemarie. The 14-day Express Plan is in “My Downloads” above – it provides a quick framework for you if you wish to just swap out foods according to your tastes. |
![]() | Downsizing is fine for most of the foods – preferably not vegetables. Do be careful not to go too low so you crave foods later at night or down slow down your metabolism. Great that you are responding your hunger signals. That is a HUGE step 🙂 🙂 |
![]() | Ossie or anyone, I was wondering if it will hurt if we downsize some of the portion sizes as long as we still eat the right ratio of each. for example our lunch hours are not that long and I don’t have time to eat that much food. I think I would be pretty stuffed if I ate all that food. |
![]() | Remember that you can always use the little round arrows (next to each menu item) to change an item that seems out of place to something else that works with the rest of the meal or snack items. For instance, if you do not want to eat a hot dog before bed, maybe switch it out for a piece of cheese… that sounds better to me. |
![]() | Ossie – more questions: what do people mean talking about a 14 day diet? My menu planner gives me a one week plan. I read and heard one of the ten things you should not eat is “soy”; then I saw a food choice of edamame (soy beans)? We have already started week two and are following the same week menu because of over-cooking and eating the first day’s menu for three days. What next? Thanks. |
![]() | Hi, Anne. Your husband may need about 50% more than you, but probably not double, unless he is very physically active. |
![]() | Oh Wow….Thank you Ossie for a reply. He is 6’1/2″. He probably weighs 185-190. His only problem is his tummy. I have told him to double my portions and he feels like he is eating too much; but never complaining of being “hungry”. I figured out how to get involved here. My end goal is losing about 40 – 50 lbs. After only eight days, a jacket that would not zip around my hips is now zipping. Is this a lifetime eating change? Not much red meat which we like on occasion. We were eating much of the things allowed here but I guess just not enough or proportionate to carbs/fats/proteins in six meals. Can I expect to lose enough by July? One of my daughters is getting married. My weight problem came after 40 years old and moving from Hawaii to Alaska. Never had a problem before that. Thanks~Anne |
![]() | Hi, Annemarie. If you post your husband’s height, weight, and health goals (including weight-wise), I can give you an estimate of how much might be suitable for him. |
![]() | I agree Dena329 – no one to ask questions to and get answers. I like many of the recipes but don’t know how much my husband should eat. It’s alot of cooking and leftovers so we repeat meals for three days. On the Friday menu that came up for me, it’s tooooo much food. I feel lighter in the tummy but if I counted the calories, OMG. |
![]() | Hi, Dena. I am a Trim Down Club dietitian who participates in these boards, and I am happy to answer your questions. For technical troubles, you can us the “Contact Us” link below. |
![]() | Who would want a hot dog for a snack before going to bed. Some of the combinations are very odd why is there never an option to have milk in your cereal. Who can actually eat dry cereal for breakfast. I don’t like this program because there is not an actual person that can answer your questions. Has anyone found this odd? Besides me |
