Hi, Jbutler73. Those are common issues indeed, and a major reason that you are allotted an evening snack in your plan here. The best thing to do is to keep sugary and snack-type foods out of your home as much as possible. Often we have strong cravings because a food is readily available and almost “calls” to us. Another tactic is to find a distraction that is sustainable – something that you like doing as (or nearly as) much as snacking, and switch to that when the cravings come along. This can be a hobby, talking with friends, watching TV, or even exercising. Finally, you can also try sipping on a warm beverage instead of snacking – it can be sweetened with a natural no-calorie option like Stevia and/or erythritol (this can keep your mouth busy, but away from risky foods). If you’re interested, there is a supplement you can try, which has been designed to help one deal with cravings – PrebioThrive (https://cutdowncravings.com/?n=aff).
