Hi, Alidavies. Milk should appear separately in your menu if you select porridge or Weetabix.

Thanks Ossie-Sharon.
My next question – I have checked on a cup converter site that says 1 cup of cooked porridge oats is 140g – is that correct? I don’t see any reference to milk – how is that included?
Similarly if I had 2 weetabix ( i like cereal for breakfast) – what about the milk? I can’t seem to find anything to swap to have milk.
I am sorry if i am missing the obvious – this seems to be taking over my day!

Thank you

Hi Alidavies, and welcome. It is largely an accumulation over the day, but it is largely 1 gram each of protein and fat for each 3 grams of carbs. Yes, you can have some of the breakfast items as part of a snack – just be sure not to load up on too many carbs at any one time if you are a diabetic or prediabetic.

I am new at this…and finding it quite a challenge. What is the ratio of protein:fat:carb for each meal or is it an accumulation over the day that counts?
Is it OK to have some of the breakfast items as part of a snack?

Ali
