Hi, SummerM. The video referred to GMO and overly processed corn. Organic whole corn and corn products (such as cornmeal, tortillas, breads) labeled organic and/or “non-GMO”) are fine. It is indeed challenging to find non-GMO frozen corn if you don’t have access to a farmer’s type market. However, the fact that it’s basically fresh is already a major plus for your health, so don’t worry too much about it.

In the food list, corn is listed in the lightest shade of blue, meaning that it is a healthy choice. However, in the introductory video, genetically-modified corn is mentioned as one of the five foods we should never eat. Which is correct? Is all the corn we might find at a grocery store genetically modified? If not, how do we know if it is or isn’t? I prefer to eat frozen corn but can one find frozen corn at a grocery store that is not genetically modified?
