![]() | Hi, Margaret. If you are uncomfortably full, don’t feel pressured to finish everything. Just be sure to get all the fruits and vegetables plus the dairy. The best places to cut a little are starches and fats. |
![]() | I started the diet last sunday (a week ago) and have been following it religiously even thru Thanksgiving. I lost about 2 lbs the first few days and nothing since. I also feel very full with the food, like I am eating too much. How many calories is the average menu? Do I have to eat so many meals? I just feel I am eating too much |
![]() | Hi, parulrdave. Staying with the previous menu is better. However, it is good to change exercises every three weeks or so to keep your muscles “guessing.” |
![]() | Hi Sharon, |
![]() | Hi, Kristen. While it is “normal” for weight to stagnate around the traditional age of menopause – and those last few pounds – we are here to help you be healthy despite this awkward phase. The fact that your clothes are fitting differently is a better sign than the scale at this early stage. You can keep up with plateaus by making changes to your exercise routine every 3 weeks or so, to keep your muscles “guessing.” Use different muscle groups, combine cardio with strength training, and insert bursts of intense exercise here and there to shake things up. |
![]() | Hi, parulrdave. Eventually, the scale will catch up 🙂 |
![]() | I lost 5 lbs in the first week. Any and every diet I try I do this then NOTHING afterwards. Its so Frustrating !! I was 135 lost 5 now back to 135. Some days I can really feel the loss. My jeans waist is more comfortable and my rings are loose. then other days I fell like I haven’t lost at all. I’m following the diet and am pretty active I’m always on the go. Is this to be expected when turning 50??!! |
![]() | Hi Sharon, thanks for offering to help! I followed the menu for one more week and kept on exercising, but the measurements have not changed. I understand that when I lose fat, I might be gaining muscle, but then how do I reach my goal weight? Please help me. |
![]() | Parulrdave, it may indeed be what Jaq suggested. If your measurements are not changing, please do repost, and I would be happy to work with you. |
![]() | When people lose fat but gain muscle, can’t people change body shape (lose fat or find clothes fitting better)because of more muscle developing? So even though the scales show a weight increase, it’s actually due to muscles getting stronger/bigger/leaner? |
![]() | I have also been on this plan for 8 weeks. I lost 7 lbs. within the first 7 weeks, but last week, I gained 2 lbs. I have followed the menu so well and did some exercise, so what went wrong? |
![]() | Thanks Sharon I will give thiis a try! |
![]() | Hi, Mary. I’m sorry to read of your troubles. That may indeed explain the issue you’re having with the program, and the fact that you’re making an effort to be active is heartening and eventually will make a difference. In the meantime, you can cut back on some portions – at major meals, try having just half the main courses (starch and meat), to lighten things up. |
![]() | Hi Sharon thanks for your offer of help. I’m afraid my physical activity level is not very good. I have osteoarthritis which restricts me sometimes but I know movement is the best thing for it!! I have started the desk excercise a few times but I didn’t get very far. I do try to walk to the shops sometimes. |
![]() | Hi, Mary. You may not be doing anything wrong – I would be happy to help with a solution. |
