I bet the sandwich at Subway isn’t avocado spread on bread. Thanks for the clarification about protein. I guess I would rather get my protein in the form of something I could put on the bread spread with avocado.

Hi, lew1. Yes, you can use tortellini from the store – just check out the ingredients list to make sure there isn’t anything artificial in there. As for pancakes, for your snack you can either use the cottage cheese as a spread or if you’re not a diabetic, swap it out for a tablespoon of syrup or jam; at breakfast, you can swap out the cashew nuts. These aren’t from the same food group, but the rest of your menu will balance it out. The point is to have flexibility to enjoy your food.

Mebs yogurt is a protein and avocado can be used as a spread on bread. I get it on my sandwich at Subway.

I don’t understand a meal that calls for 1 slice of bread, avocado, two veggies and yogurt. Where is the protein? Maybe I don’t understand what protein is. Am I supposed to put the avocado on the bread? This meal makes no sense to me at all.

Hi, Quinc, and MsRoss – yes 🙂 🙂

when my meal planner says pasta, tortellini, cheese would this be the kind you buy in the store? and for my snack I have pancake buckwheat,, does that mean no syrup or anything on it? some of the things are really confusing, some things I would think not good for me are on the planner and then you have things that should be paired up with something and there just plain.

quince im glad you asked that i was curious too…..yayyyyyy about the mustard

Didn’t find a recipe for healthy stuffed green peppers. It can be contrived from all of our “allowable” foods. Several can be made at one time and then re-heated for a ready meal when in a pinch for time.

Can someone answer this question for me please can you eat the same thing everyday like say you like something for breakfast can you eat it everyday or does it have to be something different every day and same goes with lunch and dinner.

Hi, rsfritch. Mustard is definitely allowed – in fact, it is “free,” meaning you don’t have to count it in your menu.

Hi is yellow mustard permissable as a condiment….i have eliminated all other sauces like ketchup, mayo bbq and salad dressings….mustard would be a nice alternative if it’s allowed

I had sent in a few days ago, I am new to program, what is “buffalo milk” , I didn’t pick it but keep coming up in my meal planner. Also where can I find wine on the list. Must have done something wrong because I don’t see my post listed.
