The general type of soup is noted in your menu – i.e. vegetable, cream, “chunky,” etc. If you stick to that and the portion size in the menu, you don’t need to worry about the calories. As for the sodium, if you have a salt-sensitive condition (such as congestive heart failure), then the upper limit would be about 200 mg (ideally 140 mg); if you don’t, then about 600 mg is fine. Examples of recommended brands are Pacific Natural, Amy’s, and Health Valley Organic. |
