Hi, LauraReiter. We definitely recommend preparing one meal for the whole family! Regarding the recipes, there is no need to use any ingredients that may be unfamiliar to them – just try an upgraded version of the basic thing. For example, instead of quinoa, try brown rice – if they are used to white rice, then start mixing brown into white in gradually increasing proprotions. Also, you can try our more “common” recipes – anything with “Simple,” “Basic,” “Homemade,” etc. in the title. Also try our Delights from Members section, which features recipes from people just like you and in a similar spot 🙂

I am worried that the recipes are not going to work for my children. I do not want to cook two meals for dinner. We eat very healthy but they are particular. I have recently switched to chicken and turkey in the form of patties and sausage versus beef. They like them. However, looking at the recipes with the ingredients I am concerned they will turn their noses towards these meals. Help! Ideas and or suggestions. My children range in ages from 5 to 14,
