Thanks for all the information. Enjoying the diet , but having to do a bit of mixing and matching so hopefully getting it right. Have been really pleased as I haven’t been constipated which I generally find when starting any new way of eating. Cheers Cathy

Hi, CathyRa. The answers to your questions are as follows:
1. A serving size of vegetables is generally 1 cup (8 fluid ounces) raw, and 1/2 cup cooked.
2. Free spreads are listed when you click on the pot icon next to them – they can be used once a day for whatever bread, cracker or similar food you may have in a meal that is not accompanied by another food that can be used as a spread.
3. You can definitely use corn thins multigrain instead of rice cakes.
4. To make you your own food combinations, click on the “Exchange mode” button in the toolbar above your finished menu to see the amounts and combinations of food groups, and slip in the foods according to this list – https://www.trimdownclub.com/exchanges-lists.
5. Here is a guide for finding SWG bread in New Zealand: http://www.essene.co.nz/where-to-buy.aspx. You can also order it here: http://www.purebread.co.nz/page730710.

What is a serving size of vegies. What are the free spreads. What is vegan pudding, can’t find recipe. Can I use corn thins multigrain instead of rice cakes. Is there anywhere that gives the different combinations of foods and there amounts so I can make up my own menus, as we are intending to be away for several weeks and no access to computer. I don’t seem to be able to find swg bread or 100o/o whole grain any thing in New Zealand. Thanks for all your feed back and help. Cheers Cathy
